What is the Recommended Schedule For Pediatric Care Visits?

Pediatric care visits should start very early in life. In fact, the first visit should take place when a child is 3 to 5 days old. The next visits should occur at 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, and 12 months. After that, visits are normally scheduled at the 15 month, 24 month, 30 month, and 3 year marks. Once a child reaches 3 years of age, visits will normally happen once a year. This excludes visits for illness or emergencies.
